Pagsanjan Falls! Wahoo!

HUMP DAY.....1 YEAR!

A member in our Branch gave us these handmade flowers for Christmas.  They are so bright-colored and unique, we just love them!
Thanks to our generous donors the Teresa Branch RS can now sing along with accompaniment and stay in rhythm and on key!

Running the Rapids at Pagsanjan Falls
Cavinti, Philippines

Thank you Heather & Jared for the Christmas money...we decided to take this little trip.

GEARING UP....

Watching them taxi the canoes to the rapids and admiring the clear BLUE water....NOT.

Here we go...Dad was actually "Guy Smiley" during this whole ride.  He turned into the Parade Route Rick again....waving to all the people and shouting "HI!"

067 was the front boatman...so amazing and strong!

Pulling us upstream over rocks and barriers....

He had to jump from side to side using his feet to push off of rocks to keep us in the path.

BEAUTIFUL SIGHTS, SERENE WATER SOUNDS....REALLY, REALLY NICE!

Taking turns navigating through small straits with the returning canoes.
067 taking a much needed breather!
THE FALLS...See the raft being pulled toward the falls.  Those on the raft are waist deep in the water at this point.
Getting closer...we were chest deep in water about here!
GONE!  Under the falls...can't see us being dumped on at all!
WE MADE IT!
These ponchos were a joke, we were wet from head to toe, really wet!
They were on my list of things to bring on the mission and I thought it was about time I got to use them LOL.
