Such a great group leaving to go home and continue their life's mission!

American War Memorial
Gathering at the Mission Home with some of our closest Elders and Sisters.
Elder Sheffer gave us a brief presentation about the memorial before we got there.
Simultaneous Japanese surprise attacks on Pearl Harbor and the Philippines led to war. Japanese forces conquered parts of Asia but were set back in the Philippine Islands. Fierce defenses by U.S. Army Forces Far East (U.S. Army, Philippine Army and Philippine Scouts held off Japanese assaults for six months. delayed the Japanese timetable, and enabled the start of U.S. defensive operations in the Pacific.
Grave Markers made of white marble are all arranged in a very systematic and beautiful way. The grounds were impeccable.

All of us on the steps of the chapel that is there. President Revillo told the missionaries that most of the graves were of men that were their ages and how valiantly they fought for the Philippines and for their countries.

It took us about 2 /12 hours to get home that night as there was a water main that broke and flooded Marcos Hwy.
It is definitely MORE FUN in the Philippines!

Sunday Dinner at the Villalon's
She made a Filipino chicken curry, a Hawaiian noodle dish and American pizza rolls. It was yummy. They are so generous and loving.
