We are sowing, daily sowing....

Giving away SQUASH SEEDS for members to PLANT!

Linda sent several packages of a variety of squash seeds.  These were some of the lucky recipients who live in Ondoy, the rest I passed out in Relief Society in Teresa!

Elder J and I with President Gary Beck and Sister Marsha Beck
Beck's were neighbors of ours in Provo about 1980.

 Flower Arrangement Gift from Beck's

NAYONG PILIPINO

Senior Missionary Couple outing...Beautiful place and show.

A sign above this one to the right said, "the most rare orchid in the world"

Other pretty flowers below!

Sister J, and Sister Schlager...She is such a good friend!
Beautiful ponds with huge gold fish in them.

Fun little gift shops...and a native dresser.

The show had many native dances with beautiful costumes!

All my pictures turned out poorly.

Us at the FINALE!
Watching them Make Hollow BlockFor our Housing Projects

Pretty rudimentary tools and operation.

Blessie's Quilts
This a a couple who have made quite the business for themselves here. They have hired many and have taught them how to quilt and piece quilts.  They have a warehouse, workshop and also bring a huge supply to the Bazaar's we go to every month.  Their boot is always swarmed.  They also have a contract with someone at Deseret Book and make quiet books etc.  Here is a picture of me with a wall quilt I had them make to remember our mission.

Another one of their businesses is a reception center in Angeles.  Where the Seniors stopped for lunch after our visit to Nayong Piliino.

They have about 5-6 great rooms to rent out for weddings etc.  It's a family business, plus they also have an auto shop next door.

Now here are some that are very enterprising!

MISSION CALL IN THE PHILIPPINES!

This is the Heve family. Julie Ann is the younger daughter of two.  She just received a mission call in the Branch President's office to the Philippines Cauayan Mission.
Which is on our same island but much North of us.

It is always so cool to see someone receive a call from the Lord!

Sister Heve recently went through the temple and on October 17th, Brother Heve and JulieAnn will both go through too.  They will all be sealed.
The other sister Joan is finishing up school and then plans to go on a mission in about a year.

Random Fun Sights this Week!

Very unusual color of tree trunk, almost chamois color.  Don't know what type of tree it is.

Creative basketball standard...

IT WORKS!

Ducks in Ondoy.

Mother duck and sweet yellow ducklings.

Goats eating everything,
 everywhere.

The days wash...hanging to dry between heavy rainfalls.
