Our first day in the Philippines!

These are pictures of the morning breakfast buffet at the hotel....you don't see this in the states!
Corned Beef and Rice.  Below is some thin pancake looking things made out of fish, and Roasted Pork Loin and Chicken Casserole.  They did have some fresh fruit and some scrambled eggs (different looking) and served Tang!

After breakfast the Mission President and his wife picked us up and took us to the Mission Office.  He asked to move to Antipolo and serve three Branches:  Teresa, Morong and Binangonan.  Each of the three branches have two sets of missionaries and we are to help them with what they need.  We  assigned to Teresa Branch as our home Branch because it needs the greatest leadership.  We are not in a Stake but a District.  We also are in charge of a mail run to all of them.  Teresa is about 1/2 hour away, Morong about 45-50 min. away in the same direction and Binangonan is about 1 1/2 hours away.  We plan to give each Branch one day a week for us to go with their missionaries.  And then fill in whenever else we need to.

When we came out of the hotel, we looked across the street and saw these electric poles... Isn't this against the code???  As we have been here a few days....we see that these aren't the worst of what we see here.
